Error description

  • Web Transaction that contains recurive egl function abends with
    ELAX 9973, when trying to converse a UI record. The problem happ
    ens when trying to run the MRSHLO (marshall-out) function needed
     for the converse.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • When a webtransaction under cics has a recursive routine
    that also uses the EZECSO-GWS-OUT-BLOCK control block, the
    addressability of that control block is lost, due to the
    CALL statement instead of the PERFORM. This causes an abend
    in the application.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Software updated. Fixtest EGLFixtest200901202228 is
    available for 7102 systems
