• Using Rational Application Developer V7.5.0 iFix001
  User gets java.lang.ClassCastException: com.ibm.ejs.models.base.
  resources.jdbc.impl.JDBCProviderImpl incompatible with com.ibm.e
  js.models.base.resources.j2c.J2CResourceAdapter error when switc
  hing from the Extended Services to the Deployment tab of the App
  lication Deployment Descriptor.

  Steps to reproduce:
  
  1.- Start RAD 7.5 and create a blank workspace.
  2.- Create a Enterprise Application Project for WebSphere 6.0
  3.- Edit generated application.xml file.
  4.- Select Deployment tab.
  5.- Change WAR classloader policy to APPLICATION for example
  6.- Select Extended Services tab.
  7.- Come back to Deployment tab.
  8.- Check .log file and after executing step 7 you will get the
   above mentioned exception.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• A java.lang.ClassCastException may occur while switching
  from  Extended Services tab to the Deployment tab of the
  Application Deployment Descriptor.
