Error description

  • An error may occur when running EJBDeploy against a project that
is under ClearCase source control when the product is not conne
cted to ClearCase.

The error message:
com.ibm.etools.ejbdeploy.EJBDeploymentException: An error occure

Problem conclusion


    

  • The entries in the ?project?/.settings/.webspheredeploy file
were being updated even when the values were not changing,
resulting in the file to be written.  However, since the
file is read-only when under ClearCase control the write
operation failed leading to the EJBDeploy operation failing.

Fixed in Rational Application Developer V7.0.0.9
