APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the Mappings option is specified in the wsgen properties
  file then the resulting webservice deploy code is ignoring the
  namespace to package mappings specified in it's mapping property
  file.
  

Local fix

• Web Services wizard, run by right clicking on the WSDL,
  choosing Web Services, and then Generate Client, will produce
  desired output if this checkbox is selected: Define Customer
  mapping for namespace to package on the Web Service Proxy page.

  When generating a JAX-RPC webservice client using the wsgen Ant
  task targeting a WebSphere Application Server then the
  Mappings option for namespace to package mapping is not
  used by the underlying WebSphere Application Server webservice
  code emitter.
  

Problem conclusion

• The value specified for the Mappings option to the wsgen Ant
  task is now propagated to the underlying WebSphere Application
  Server webservice code emitter.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  the WebSphere Application Server Toolkit fixpack 6.1.1.8 and
  Rational Application Developer fixpack 7.0.0.8.  Please refer
