Error description

  • This APAR corrects the ifix for the APAR PK49506 for IBM
WebSphere Application Server at service pack level 6.0.2.21.
The ifix which was release for this service pack level contains
updates based on source changes from the Websphere Application
    server release 6.1.

All ifixes for PK49506 are republished this new APAR.

See the APAR PK49506 for information about the original problem
(text has been copied below for reference).

With a number of tables where the OCC column is nullable, not
able to update the schema and add a 'not nullable' restriction
since this is not a backward compatible change.

Need the mediator to handle the update of the OCC column value
    in the following way:

    - if the value of the OCC column is null set it to 1. The
'where' clause should check if the value IS NULL

    - else if the value of the column is not null, set it to
current value + 1. The 'where' clause should check the the
value is thesame as the current value

    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
The published iFix for version 6.0.2.21 incorrectly uses a
class file compiled with a version 6.1 JDK. Users who have
installed this fix may see UnsupportedClassVersion exceptions
when running JDBC Mediator applications. This APAR will
provide a new iFix to supercede PK49506.
