• Environment:
  - OS (name, language, version or SP): Microsoft Windows XP SP2
   - Product name (Build ID or version/patch level): IBM Rational
  Application Developer 7.0.0.4
  Reproducible Y/N:  Y
  
  Description of problem:
  When launching the profiling of a J2EE client application on WAS
  6.1 from RAD 7.0.0.4, an error "Could not set up program
  arguments" is raised.
  
  The .log file shows the following lines:
  !ENTRY com.ibm.ws.ast.st.ui 4 0 2007-10-26 12:28:39.859
  !MESSAGE Could not set up program arguments
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  1) Create a J2EE client application with a Main class
  2) Create a new Profile configuration
  3) Try to run it
  
  Workaround:
  None

  When launching the profiling of a J2EE client application
  against WebSphere Application Server v6.1 from Rational
  Application Developer v7.0 an error "Could not set up program
  arguments" is displayed.
  
  The .log file shows the following lines:

  !MESSAGE Could not set up program arguments
  

Problem conclusion

• The temporary deployment path for the application client was
  not being setup during launch of the application client.  The
  fix for this APAR is currently scheduled for inclusion in the
  Rational Application Developer v7.0.0.6 and WebSphere
  Application Server Toolkit v6.1.1.6 fixpacks.
