Error description

  • Using Rational Application Developer V7.
    JSP validation problem occurring due to some of the user code no
    t being brought over during the 'Replace template' operation.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  •  In the JSP file, While applying and replacing template the
    code got refractored into bodyarea. The jsp scriptlets and
    declaration on the above the page directive is not
    recognized by the Page Designer. So user lost the scriplets
    and declaration while applying and replacing template.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Page Designer modifies the template wizard plugins for the
    adding the scriptlets and declarations above the jsp page
    directive.
    
    Fix delivered in Rational Application Developer V7006.
