Error description

  • When creating a portlet project using Rational Application Devel
oper V7, sometimes the portlet.xml is completely empty and as a
result Portlet Deployment Descriptor node and the portlets are n
ot defined.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • The Portlet Deployment Descriptor model is getting created
and at that time the validator tries to access it and the
model gets corrupted.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Synchronized the access to the project, so that the
validators do not access the model while its being loaded.
Fix delivered in Rational Application Developer V7005.
