Error description
Problem with linked resources with spaces in path using Rational Application Developer V7 Steps To Reproduce: It first showed in new Folder wizard. I tried to add new linked folder to my project. Steps to reproduce: - expand Window -? Preferences -? General -? Workspace -? Linked Resources - check Enable linked resources - add a new path variable (for example: WORKSPACE - C:\workspac e70) - now right click on a project and select New -? Folder - enter a folder name and click Advanced - click Link folder to file system - Click Variables, select the variable, and then click Extend - browse to a directory such as TestJavaProject\Java Source (wit h spaces in name) - after clicking finish, open the .project file for the project where the folder was added. The path is invalid. - if you extend a variable to a path that does not contain space s, then the entry is added correctly, and the linked folder connects to the appropriate folder in the file system More information: the problems lays in URIUtils#toURI(IPath path) when specified p ath is not absolute. if path contains segments with white spaces URI constructor fail s and absolute path is created.
