Error description

• Using Rational Application Developer V7.0.0.1
  In struts-config.xml ? Action Mappings ? under Form Bean Specifi
  cation, when you select a form bean name and then the scope, the
   value in the Scope cannot be saved. If you select request or re
  sponse, Save the config file, close. And then re-open, the scope
   would become blank again. If you go to source at any point afte
  r choosing req/resp, the source does not reflect this selection
  either.
  Problem is reproducible by the following:
  a) open new struts project ? make sure necessary struts function
  s are enabled
  b) file ? new ? others ? struts ? actionForm
  c) open struts-config.xml with Struts Config File Editor.
  d) Action Mappings ? add an Action Mapping
  e) go to Form Bean Specification, point to the form you just cre
  ated.
  f) change Scope
  After this, the Source is not updated. You can save the file and
   close. When you reopen it and click the same action-mapping, th
  e scope would remain blank.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

• The scope of a formbean for an action mapping when set to
  "request" from the GUI was not getting set in the model.
  

Problem conclusion

• Fixed to update the model when the scope is set to
  "request".
  Fix delivered in Rational Application Developer V7.0.0.3
