APAR status

Error description

• in RAD v7.0.0.1 the WebSphere Test Environment 5.1 will not STOP
  if security is enabled.  The server status says "stopping" but
  the server never actually stops.
  

Local fix

• The temporary work-around is to NOT use security.
  This problem only happens if security is enabled.

  When attempting to stop a version 5.1 WebSphere Test
  Environment no action occurs except for the server being
  displayed in a 'Stopping...' state indefinitely.
  

Problem conclusion

• When stopping a v5.1 WebSphere Test Environment a separate
  application is launched to terminate the server.  This
  separate process is being invoked using the v1.4 JDK packaged
  with the v5.1 WebSphere Test Environment but the code being
  launched resided in a JAR file that was compiled using a 1.5
  JDK.  The class files needed to run the application could not
  be loaded and therefore were never able to terminate the
  server properly.  To prevent this problem the code will now be
  properly compiled using a 1.4 JDK.
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  Rational Application Developer v7.0.0.2.
