PK38573: INVOKE OF EJB OVER SSL CONNECTION CAUSES DFHII0217 GIOP HEADER WITH INVALID LENGTH FOLLOWED BY ABEND AII2

APAR status

• Closed as duplicate of another APAR.

Error description

• Running CICS Transaction Server 3.1, you attempt to invoke an
  EJB over an SSL connection, and receive the following error:
  DFHII0217 E The request receiver received a GIOP header with
              an invalid length.
  This is followed by an ABENDAII2 which means:
  'The IIOP Request Receiver program DFHIIRR returned an
   exception which may have been caused by data received from the
   client.'
  This only failed when the sender attempted to send data length
  greater than 16384 bytes.
  CICS internal trace showed that we did a recieve for a length
  of x'00004A98' or 19096 bytes.

  CICS should put up another receive, to receive the additional
  x'AA4' bytes of data.
