APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When switching between multiple Menu Manager XML files, the
previously added (imported) XML file disappears from the
Default File Menus selection list. For instance, the user may
want to switch between the following three Menu Manager files
depending on the component stage: DEVMenuActions.xml,
PRODMenuActions.xml and TestMenuActions.xml. If the user
switches from the DEVMenuActions.xml to the TestMenuActions.xml
and later, wants to switch back to the DEVMenuActions.xml file,
the XML file is no longer displayed in the list of Default File
Menus.

Local fix

  • Until the problem is fixed, the user has to re-import (add) the
missing Menu Manager XML file, again

Problem summary

  • When switching between multiple Menu Manager XML files, the
previously added (imported) XML file disappears from the Default
 File Menus selection list. For instance, the user may want to
switch between the following three Menu Manager files depending
on the component stage: DEVMenuActions.xml, PRODMenuActions.xml
and TestMenuActions.xml. If the user switches from the
DEVMenuActions.xml to the TestMenuActions.xml and later, wants
to switch back to the DEVMenuActions.xml file, the XML file is
no longer displayed in the list of Default File Menus.

Problem conclusion

  • The actions and menu items from the imported xml files which
contain the same actions and menu items can be displayed.
