  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available          *

  Potential abends can occur during automatic indoubt thread
  resolution (Resync) processing that's initiated from remote
  XA Transaction Manager environments.  The conditions are highly
  rare or intermittent because they only occur in the unlikely
  event that the remote XA Transaction Manager environment
  happens to initiate multiple concurrent automatic indoubt
  thread resolution sequences.
  The abends occur because Db2 "XA resync" processing continually
  acquires and releases latch serialization which may lead to a
  timing window opportunity for the indoubt thread knowledge (RLE)
  to be unexpectedly deleted by another resync event.
  

Problem conclusion

• Db2 11/12 for z/OS is changed to maintain latch serialization
  for the duration of the XA related resync event.
