Error description

  • IIB calculates a CPUtime delta value for each time interval
    based on the
difference between the CPUtime value returned by the clock()
    function
call at the start and the end of the time interval.

The C++ clock() function defines its time measurement as a type
    that has
a maximum value of 4294967295. If a message flow thread runs
    long enough
and consumes a large amount of CPUtime over an extended period,
    then the
max value will be reached. When this occurs, the start and end
    of the
time interval are the same max value, resulting in a delta
    CPUtime value
    of 0.

Local fix

  • Without the fix, the only way to reset the CPUtime count is to
    restart the process.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
IIB calculates a CPUtime delta value for each time interval
based on the difference between the CPUtime value returned by
the clock() function call at the start and the end of the time
    interval.

The C++ clock() function defines its time measurement as a type
that has a maximum value of 4294967295. If a message flow thread
runs long enough and consumes a large amount of CPUtime over an
extended period, then the max value will be reached. When this
occurs, the start and end of the time interval are the same max
value, resulting in a delta CPUtime value of 0. As a result, the
SMF 117 IMFLTPCP field will be reported as 0.
