* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When sending a valid DBCS message to a  *
*                      Queue Manager, CSQX434E is reported by  *
*                      the repository task.                    *

When sending a valid DBCS message to a Queue Manager, CSQX434E
is reported by the repository task. This is caused by a
miscalculation during the conversion to EBCDIC step as the extra
characters required for shift in and shift out of SBCS and DBCS
are not correctly accounted for.

Problem conclusion

  • The miscalculation in the conversion to EBCDIC step has been
corrected so that the shift in and shift out of SBCS and DBCS
are now correctly accounted for.
