Error description

  • DBDPOOL full conditio may occur on structure owner DB2 member
    due to DBD pages incorrectly not being marked stealable.
    
    During Group Buffer Pool check point process,  the Db2 internal
    cast out task can miss a de-reference call to the DBD
    it just referenced.  This missed de-reference call makes those
    DBD pages non-stealable.

    During Group Buffer Pool check point process,  the Db2 internal
    cast out task can miss a de-reference call to the DBD
    it just referenced.  This missed de-reference call makes those
    DBD pages non-stealable and number of stealable page
    decreases.
    At the end, it results in DBD POOL FULL condition and
    DSNT500I message issued with REASON CODE RC00C90089
    RESOURCE TYPE 00000602.
    

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 code has been updated so that DBD pages
    will be marked stealable correctly.
