APAR status

Error description

  • In IBM Developer for z Systems V14.1.1, when opening a specific
    assembler file with the z/OS LPEX Editor,
    the client workspace hung.
    
    This happened when NUMBER ON set in the ISPF Editor's profile
    for that file.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • When opening an assembler file with the z/OS LPEX Editor the
    client workspace hung.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Error annotation is using resources that is causing the
    workspace hang and sluggishness.
    The number of error lines annotated was reduced.
