Error description

• While running a PIT recovery, DB2 abended with
  ABEND04E 00D10341 in DSNJR103+26B2.
  

Local fix

• Set zparm DEALLCT in DSN6LOGP to zero
  

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ABEND04E RC00D10341 occurred in         *
  *                      DSNJR103 running a RECOVER utility      *
  *                      after doing a conditional restart of    *
  *                      Db2 that truncated the logs at a        *
  *                      log point within an archive log         *
  *                      tape volume.                            *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply corrective PTF when available          *
  ****************************************************************
  A conditional restart of Db2 was done to truncate the logs
  at a log point within a tape archive log volume.  The archive
  log RBA and LRSN range was logically truncated in the BSDS and
  Db2 began writing to the active logs at the next 4K RBA value
  beyond the log truncation point.  Since the delayed archive
  read deallocation option was being used, the archive log tape
  volume remained allocated and Db2 had retained the original
  archive log RBA and LRSN range in the LDSD block associated
  with the archive read service task.  A subsequent RECOVER
  utility began reading the archive log, and read past the
  truncation point due to the residual content in the LDSD
  block.  This can lead to an ABEND04E RC00D10341 in DSNJR103.
  

Problem conclusion

• DSNJR006 has been changed to ignore the delayed archive read
  deallocation option during Db2 restart when the logs are
  being truncated by a conditional restart.  This will prevent
  a residual LDSD block from causing DB2 to read beyond the
  log truncation point in the truncated archive log data set.
  The delayed archive read deallocation option will then be
  used after Db2 restart is complete.
