Error description

  • A user is on both "View Team" and "Manage Team"
    1) If a resource is associated with "Manage team" - then the
user is allowed to manage teams.
    2) If a resource is only associated with "View Team" the user
would not be able to manage teams.

The issue is that for Case #1 the CLI addResourceToTeam
performs the processing correctly, Where the UI does not.

Problem conclusion

  • Update endpoints to get the teams and resource roles available
    for create and update.

When creating an object, team select should show all teams where
the user has the create permission on any role. The resource
role selector should show all roles on which the user has the
    create permission.

When updating an object, if a user has manage teams on any role
currently mapped on the object then it should show all teams the
user has manage teams on. If the user has the manage security
permission or is admin, it returns all teams. The resource role
drop-down returns all roles currently mapped on the object on
which the user has manage teams. If the user is admin or if the
user has the manage security permission then it returns all
    resource roles
