Error description

  • You have a complex connection string such as:

    jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION =(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST
    = localhost)(PORT = 1521) (LOAD_BALANCE = NO) (FAILOVER=NO))
    (CONNECT_DATA = (SERVER = DEDICATED) (SERVICE_NAME = XE)))

When you try to record this database, you find that Topology
Discovery works and RTCP reports traffic through the JDBC Proxy,
    but nothing is recorded.
You see that the JDBC events are being marked with the
connection string in lower-case such as:

    jdbc:oracle:thin:@(description=(address=(protocol=tcp)(host=loca
    lhost)(port=1521)(load_balance=n ... ... service_name=xe)))

As this does not match the recording rule, nothing is recorded.

    WORKAROUNDS:

    - Use the connection string captured in Topology Discovery as
the database transport setting for your recording.

    - Convert your database connection string to lower-case.
