Error description

  • Developer for System z - IDz - v14.1

Description :
When opening a Cobol source and then using the clone editor to
have the same source edited, if you modify the 1st source,
after the CTRL+ Save, the outline view of the clone is not
updated.
The outline view is only updated for the editor version where
the change was made and saved.

Local fix

  • If a space is added and removed from the file and the file is
saved, the outline view is then updated.

Problem summary

  • When opening a Cobol or PL1 file and then cloning the editor to
have the same source edited, if you modify the 1st source,
after the CTRL+ Save, the outline view of the clone is not
updated.
The outline view is only updated for the editor version where
the change was made and saved.

Problem conclusion

  • A code change was made in how the outline view is updated.
