Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Servers 8.5.5 and 9.0 with application * * edition * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When installing a new edition of an * * application on the same node, the * * ADMA0159W warning message is * * displayed. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When installing a new edition of an application on the same node, a warning similar to the following will display in the log: ADMA0159W: Duplicate root context(/ABCrvices/) was found on the same node WSABCnd same host abc_st Since only one edition can run at a time, having the same context root isn't a problem.
Problem conclusion
The problem has been fix to disable the warning display message when installing a new edition of an application on the same node. The warning message can be enable via system property com.ibm.websphere.management.application.warningOnDuplicateConte xtRoot in the deployment manager. Follow the steps below to configure the new system property: In the administrative console, click on System Administration > Deployment manager Under Configuration Tab, click on Java and Process Management > Process Definition > Java Virtual Machine > Custom Properties > New Enter com.ibm.websphere.management.application.warningOnDuplicateConte xtRoot in the Name field, and true in the Value field. Click OK. Click Save to save your changes to the master configuration. Restart the deployment manager. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpacks 8.5.5.14 and 9.0.0.8.
