  • INSERT got a DSNISRTI:5003 after a lock escalation to X on all
30 partitions of PBR due to incorrect information on Db2 control
block for pageset file.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ABND=04E-00C90101 in DSNISRTI with      *
*                      ERQUAL5003 on Insert.                   *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

When lock escalation happens on the X page (or row) locks,
the lock state in its page Set Control Block(PSCB) will be
set to X to indicate the page set is in X-lock state. But
"LOCK TABLE in SHARE MODE" issued after the lock escalation
mistakenly change it from X to S state. This caused the
Insert to fail at DSNISRTI:5003 later.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Fixes made for "LOCK TABLE in Share MODE", so the correct
lock state will be set in its Page Set Control Block.
