Error description

  • After updating to IBM Installation Manager Version 1.8.8, when
trying to update WebSphere Application Server Version 9 to a
fix pack, the following error is observed:

CRIMA1192E ERROR: Package IBM WebSphere Application Server
Network Deployment  cannot be installed on the current platform
(operating system: solaris, architecture: sparc).

  Explanation: A package can be platform-specific. You must use
a platform-specific package on the appropriate platform.

Problem conclusion


    

  • IBM Installation Manager was updated to allow WebSphere Applicat
Server Version 9.0 fixpacks to be applied on Solaris/SPARC64.

This fix is available in IBM Installation Manager 1.8.9.
