Description :
To allow to compare versions from an internal source
management system, it's possible to create a plug-in.
To do that, you can open a comparison editor with
MVSFilesCompareInput as the input, and pass a
CompareConfiguration on which the left and right labels are set
(using CompareConfiguration#setLeftLabel and
CompareConfiguration#setRightLabel).
But IBM Explorer for z/OS replaces these labels by the file
names in MVSFilesCompareInput#prepareInput and does
not keep the left and right labels.

Problem summary


    

  • When a compare configuration is supplied with its own custom
labels, the labels are being replaced by the default resource
names.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The MVS compare input function sets the labels without first
checking to see if the compare configuration already has them
set.
