Error description

• Rebuild Index with SHRLEVEL CHANGE resulted in a 1 byte overlay
  during log apply processing that caused the following dumps:

  This can be followed by a Db2 crash.
  
  This happens under the following conditions:
  
  1. rebuild index shrlevel change.
  2. processing a roll back log record
  3. The index row being processed was not at the current level
  
  The problem could potentially happen with REORG log apply
  processing.

Local fix

• Instead of REBUIILD INDEX SHRLEVEL CHANGE use
   Rebuild index with SHRELVEL REFERENCE
  

Problem summary

  *                      REORG SHRLEVEL CHANGE or REBUILD        *
  *                      INDEX SHRLEVEL CHANGE.                  *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  During the log apply phase of either REORG or REBUILD INDEX,
  Db2 tries to process an insert or an update on a table that
  has been altered and the data on the base table for the
  record is down level. The data conversion code was using
  a work area that does not exist for REORG or REBUILD INDEX.
  The address for that work area would be garbage and that
  would cause various kinds of problems, including Db2 down.
  

Problem conclusion

• Db2 code is modified to use the correct address for the data
  versioning data.
