Error description

  • In adminconsole, when configure EJB timer of the server, the
command assistance gave help command as:
    AdminConfig.modify('(cells/ITVSAS3235041Cell01/nodes/ITVSAS32350
    41Node01
    /servers/server1|server.xml#EJBTimer_1503983264425)',
    '[[schedulerJNDIName ""] [pollInterval "300"] [tablePrefix
    "EJBTIMER_"]
    [datasourceJNDIName "jdbc/curamtimerdb"] [numNPTimerThreads
    "1"] [nonPersistentTimerRetryInterval "300"] [numAlarmThreads
    "1"] [datasourceAlias "advanceDB2User"]
    [nonPersistentTimerRetryCount "-1"]
    [uniqueTimerManagerForNP "false"]]')

The problem is that 'schedulerJNDIName' is being set to the
empty String rather than 'not set'. When 'schedulerJNDIName'
is set to any value, then the EJB Timer service uses that
Scheduler and ignores all other settings, so the "" setting is
disabling all other settings, but does not designate a valid
    Scheduler; so the runtime fails.

Local fix

  • delete schedulerJNDIName="" in the line:
          <timerSettings xmi:id="EJBTimer
