Error description

• Using Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.5.1 a strobe
  measurement indicates that 15% of the CPU is used in  IMS
  Converter while initializing storage to X 00.
  

Local fix

• We can remove the logic to initialize the storage to x'00'
  

Problem summary

• Using RDz 9.5.1, a strobe measurement indicates that 15%
  of the CPU is used in  IMS Converter while initializing storage
  to x?00?.
  

Problem conclusion

• The initializing logic has been removed from PLI2XML.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V9.5.1.7 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
