Error description

  • IBM Developer for z Systems - IDz - v14
    
    The generated PLI program for zUnit fails to compile.  The
    following errors may be seen in the listing:
      IBM1667I S      Target in assignment is NONASSIGNABLE.
    
    DEFAULT('NONASSIGNABLE') is set in the user environment.
    
    This is a limitation of the product and needs to be documented
    in the IDz Knowledge Center.
    

Local fix

  • Add DEFAULT('ASSIGNABLE') as a PLI compile option of the
    associated zUnit property group.
    

Problem summary

  • The generated PLI program for zUnit fails to compile.  The
    following errors may be seen in the listing:
      IBM1667I S      Target in assignment is NONASSIGNABLE.
    
    DEFAULT('NONASSIGNABLE') is set in the user environment.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This is a limitation of the product and has been
    documented in the IDz Knowledge Center.
