Error description

  • Tables in the UI that include expandable rows can request far
more data than they need after normal usage.

    To reproduce:
    1. Add or find an existing nested structure of resources on the
Resources page. A depth of 3 or 4 is sufficient.
    2. Expand several levels deep.
    3. Refresh the page. Note that the request to the backend to
populate the page includes an "expandedNodeList". Note that the
response from the server includes not just the base-level
resource, but all of the children that were previously expanded.
    4. Collapse the top-level resource
    5. Refresh the page. Note that the request to the backend
includes an "expandedNodeList" that is very similar to the
request in step 3. Note that the response from the backend
still includes information about the nodes that were previously
    expanded.

Local fix

  • If your tables are loading slowly and you suspect this may be
related, there are two possible fixes.

    1. Open a javascript console while using the UCD server in
    question and run `localStorage.clear()`.
    2. Clear your cookies.
