Error description

• ABEND0C4 RC00000004 DSNXRT1J OFFSET42C2 could occur when
  accessing the result table of a XMLTABLE function listed in the
  FROM clause and the XML column specified in the SELECT list
  caused overflow.
  

Local fix

• Remove the XML column from the SELECT list

  For a query that uses the XMLTable function, if the input XML
  column (to the XMLTable function) is in the select list, and one
  of the output columns participates in a join with another table,
  a possible overflow can occur because Db2 misses a pointer
  checking before accessing its data structure.  This can lead to
  an ABEND0C4 RC4 at location DSNXRT1J OFFSET42C2.
  

Problem conclusion

• Db2 code has been modified to provide additional checking before
  accessing a given data structure for a query that uses the
  XMLTable function in the fashion mentioned above.  This will
  prevent the reported abend.
