• Customer got ABEND04E 00E4D5D2 when running the REORG utility.

  DB2 was trying to allocate a storage with size 0.  This is the
  size for expansion dictionary.  However, the dictionary DB2 is
  using is a dummy one, so size is 0.

  User ran a REORG TABLESPACE SHRLEVEL CHANGE against a
  compressed table space with one or more tables
  defined with the DATA CAPTURE CHANGES attribute
  ( CDC ).  During the LOG phase, the utility failed
  with ABEND04E RC00E4D5D2 in DSNUGSTA + x'3632'
  when it tried to allocate a piece of storage
  with zero length.
  
  The reported problem is caused by incorrect
  program logic when REORG incorrectly
  accesses a dummy dictionary residing in the
  original table space, which exists prior
  to the REORG. This leads to the
  calculation of a zero length value and results
  in the subject failure.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code has been modified to correct the aforementioned problem
  for REORG to not operate on a dummy dictionary in the LOG phase.
