  * XMLAGG function to sort a very large                         *
  * amount of data.                                              *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * Apply corrective PTF when available                          *

  An ABEND0C4 rc4 can occur at location DSNXGRDS DSNXXQS
  OFFSET044E when using the the XMLAGG function to sort a very
  large amount of data.
  
  This problem can occur when during the XML quicksort, there is
  a need to expand the internal stack storage and copy the
  existing storage contents to the new storage.  It can be
  triggered when the amount of storage to copy is larger
  than 16M.
  
  Please note that this 'copying' could also result in a storage
  overlay. The symptoms are unpredictable.
  

Problem conclusion

• Db2 has been modified to perform the copying of the storage in
  segments if the amount of data to be copied exceeds 16M.  This
  will prevent the abend and/or possible overlay.
