APAR status

Error description

  • After DB2 detected the I/O error while accessing the active
log copy 1 dataset for a IFI reader request, DB2 tried to issue
message DSNJ104I to report this error but got abend0C4
RC00000004 on DSNFPMSG+0710 during the message processing.

ADDITIONAL SYMPTOM:
Due to this failure the IFI READS request from Q-Capture failed
with ASN0726W "The program received DB2 return code 00E60863 "
instead of switching to the secondary log dataset.

ABEND=0C4-00000004 occurs because the address of the needed
control block is not passed when trying to issue DSNJ104I.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been fixed to issue DSNJ104I without abending.
