Error description

• Rational Developer for System z - RDz - v9.5.1.5
  
  Description :
  Realtime syntax parser fails in RDz v9.5.1.5 for most of PL1
  programs and the Program Control Flow cannot be used since
  "Tooling failed to initialize due to syntax error"
  

Local fix

• Configuring a PL/I preprocessor to expand the macros should
  leave IDz with just the plain PL/I to handle.
  

Problem summary

• The RDz PL/I parser is unable to handle certain macro language
  features such as empty macro procedure call arguments.
  

Problem conclusion

• Modified the PL/I parser to support missing macro language
  features.
  
  The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with
  IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V9.5.1.6 Fix Pack which
  is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page:
