APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • During User builds there's a problem processing the default
options for the translator where the first option is omitted.

Build output results:
//EXEC PGM=IRXJCL,
//           PARMDD=PARMIN
//PARMIN DD *,DLM=  @@
@@

Workaround:
Place a comma before the first option in the translator

Local fix

  • NA

Problem summary

  • When generating JCL for User Build with non-COBOL and non-PLI
translators, for remote systems on z/OS 2.1 or above, there are
2 bugs in the EXEC PGM= statement:

1) The first default option is skipped.
2) All option lines have a leading blank.

Problem conclusion

  • These issues are now fixed.
