  When using a partition-by-growth (PBG) work file table space
  with multiple partitions, DB2 incorrectly sets an internal
  variable value to one as the requested partition number for
  an internal or external declared global temporary table
  (DGTT). When this internal variable is used to validate
  the requested partition number and page number, a failed
  sanity check detects the inconsistency  and issues an abend.
  

Problem conclusion

• DB2 has been fixed to set the internal variable value to the
  correct requested partition number when an internal or
  external DGTT is used in a PBG work file table space.
