Error description

  • When installing multiple components by component tag in an
application, normally there is a default generated name based on
the tag(s) in question, such as 'Install Tagged: "<Tag Name>"'

However, if you give the process step a name, the default
generated name will not populate the tag in the 'Install Tagged'
description of the step. It will show was 'Install Tagged: ""'.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Create a component tag (Tag1).
    2. Create an application and application process.
    3. In the application process design view, drop the Install
Multiple Component step on the Canvas.
    4. Edit the step.
    5. Leave the Step Name empty.
    6. Select a Component tag (Tag1).
    7. Enter the process name (deploy).

At this point, you will see the following:

    Install Tagged : "Tag1"
    Process: deploy

    Then,

    1. Drop the Install Multiple Component step on the Canvas.
    2. Edit the step.
    3. Give a name to the step (MyStepName).
    4. Select a Component tag (Tag1).
    5. Enter the process name (deploy).

    You will see the following:

    MyStepName
    Install Tagged : ""
    Process: deploy

Additionally, editing the first step will result in a similar
    issue.

    1. Edit the initial step.
    2. Edit the generated name 'Install Tagged: "Tag1"' to another
name that does not contain the word 'Install' (MyStepName2).
    3, Save the step.

At this point, you will see the following:

    MyStepName2
    Install Tagged: ""
    Process deploy

Local fix

  • Using process names with the word "Install" will prevent the
incomplete auto-generated text from appearing in the step.

Using the autogenerated name rather than a custom one without
the word "install" will prevent the incomplete autogenerated
    text from appearing.
