PI86276: "SECURITY ERROR 1" IF ENTER WRONG PASSWORD (LOGGING ONTO EXCEL LINK) AND THEN TRY TO CLOSE EXCEL

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• User launches Excel. User clicks 'Controller - Log on'. User
  chooses database and enters username and WRONG password.
  - User receives "The password is invalid. Try again."
  
  User now cancels/closes the 'Login' screen (because they do not
  know the password).
  
  User then tries to close Excel (without logging onto Controller
  successfully first) by clicking on the 'X' button (top-right of
  Excel)
  - Now user receives error:
