Error description

  • Database Query subjects based on synonyms (Informix) errors out
    due to case sensitivity.
    
    Database views work no matter whether the name is given in upper
    case or lower case, but synonyms error out if given in upper
    case.
    
    If query subject passes commands in uppercase then the following
    errors will be displayed:
    
    
    BMT-MD-5002: The object 'synonym name' of type 'table' or 'view'
    does not exist in the data source
    
    If this same object ( synonym ) is queried by using lower case
    then no errors are displayed.
