APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When using File Manager/IMS to browse a database using a
secondary index, if user then backs out of the positioning
panel and selects a different secondary index you may receive
errors DFS0919I, DFS0587I.

Local fix

  • Avoid this error by backing out to the File Manager Primary
Menu before switching to select a different secondary index.

Problem summary

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ACBGEN fails with a return code of 8    *

*                      The ACBGEN issues msgDFS0919I 'PSB      *
*                      --psbname -- PCB --pcbname -- KEYLEN    *
*                      SPECIFICATION TOO SMALL. KEYLEN SHOULD  *
*                      BE --nnnnn BYTES'                       *
