Error description

  • Its observed that OBDC Data Sources created in Windows System
DSN settings are not being imported into new workspace's for RBD
9.5.x stream specific to 64-bit versions only(32-bit works
    fine).

All Rational development products should recognize such DB2 data
sources and register them as a Database Connection within the
Data Source Explorer view but since RBD 9.5.x 64-bit versions
those previously defined connections are not being retained when
    opening a new workspace.

    Reproducible with the following steps:
    a) In Windows navigate to -> Administrative Tools -> -> ODBC
Data source Administrator -> System DSN
    b) Add the respective database connections.
    c) Open a new RBD workspace and navigate to Data source Explorer
view where these connections are not recognized.

This defect is caused a plugin reference in the RBD
    configuration eg:
    com.ibm.datatools.externalservices.win32,1.1.200.v20151021_2024,
    ../IBMIMShared/plugins/com.ibm.datatools.externalservices.win32_
    1.1.200.v20151021_2024/,4,false
    com.ibm.datatools.externalservices.win64,1.0.0.v20151021_2024,..
    /IBMIMShared/plugins/com.ibm.datatools.externalservices.win64_1.
    0.0.v20151021_2024/,4,false

The inclusion of both 32-bit and 64-bit datatools plugin
references is causing a conflict within the connectivity
component of Data Explorer related to a build error in RBD, as
this is a 64-bit installation only the 64-bit plugin reference
    is required.

Removing the above reference to the 32-bit version from
bundles.info, RBD configuration will resolve the issue.
