Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED:  Users of IBM Caching Proxy with LDAP        *
  *                  enabled.                                    *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: PACD should make SSL connections to an  *
  *                      LDAP server when conn_type is set to    *
  *                      ssl.                                    *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:  The pac.conf file should be corrected by    *
  *                  removing all spaces (tabs are ignored) from *
  *                  conn_type directive configuration line.     *
  ****************************************************************
  The configuration parser for PACD does not tolerate spaces which
  can result in the incorrect parsing of conn_type if there are
  any
  trailing spaces after ssl. If conn_type is not correctly parsed,
  non-SSL connections will be used to connect to the LDAP server
  even if SSL was desired.
  

Problem conclusion

• IBM Caching Proxy's PACD configuration parser was improved to
  handle trailing spaces after conn_type's value.

  - 8.0.0.15
