Problem summary

• ((SELECT ...  ) AS X JOIN (SELECT ... ) AS Y) SQL statements
  were failing on the correlation clause and generating
  unsupported syntax messages for COBOL using the proprietary
  scanner and for PL/I using the compiler-based scanner.
  

Problem conclusion

• The tokenizing function for parenthesis matching and usage
  classification has been strengthened to navigate and resolve
  more complex SELECT syntax.
