• ABEND04E RC00C90206 occurs at DSNIDIFS ERQUAL5007 due to
  incorrect serialization between parallel threads.

Problem summary

  *                      on DELETE.                              *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  DB2 did not handle serialization properly for child tasks during
  partition growth processing on a workfile.
  
  The scenario is as follow:
  
   - subsystem parameter PARAMDEG is set to > 1 allowing
     parallelism
   - the processing is on a workfile data sets (DGTT, CGTT)
   - DB2 is attempting to grow a new partition for the workfile
     TS
  
  If the above conditions are met, this might result in the
  corruption of DSNDB01 and lead to the reported abend.  Please
  note that this can result in other unpredictable errors/abends
  as well.

Problem conclusion

• DB2 has been corrected to handle the add-part lock serialization
  for child tasks during the add part processing on a workfile.
  
  Please note that applying the ptf will not fix existing
  corrupted DSNDB01.  Please contact DB2 support for solution
  on fixing the corrupted DSNDB01.  Temporary work around includes
  turning off parallelism.
