  • Scanning PL/I source with SUFA=Y sometimes generates malformed
SYM import record (82813)

Local fix

  • None Known

Problem summary

  • When the SUFA=Y property is set in Common.cfg, some PL/I
programs generate an empty SYM (symbol) record and the loader
(dmh0731) then fails with a
DMH2111E: Record format invalid: line ### SYM message, leaving
the program file with an Analysis status of Incomplete.

Problem conclusion

  • Processing will now delete trailing blanks and tabs in each
record to avoid creation of empty symbols.
