APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In IBM Developer for z Systems V14.0,  if a User Build is
performed and the number of dependencies is large,
then an Eclipse-specified limit of 2K is exceeded, and the build
fails with an error similar to the following, shown in
the eclipse .log file.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • User Build attempts to save settings from one run to the next
and if enough files are selected on the "Additional files to
load" page of the User Build wizard, an error can occur because
an Eclipse limitation is exceeded.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The User Build design has been changed to work around the
Eclipse limitation when saving settings for large numbers of
files.
