Error description

  • Issuing the command 'ctgadmin -a stats -gs=ws' without
SUBSECTION HTTP  specified in the CICS TG configuration file
results in following message being written:

CTG8241W IDs WS not recognized.

Local fix

  • N/A

Problem summary

  • CICS TG treats the web service 'WS'  statistics group as not
recognized if SUBSECTION HTTP not defined in CICS TG
configuration file.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS TG is changed to treat 'WS' statistics group as not
initialized if SUBSECTION HTTP not defined in CICS TG
configuration file. The following message is written:
CTG8252W IDs WS not initialized
