Problem conclusion

  • Note: We update our knowledge centers monthly. The following
Version 9.0 modifications will be available in the
    April/May, 2017
update to the Knowledge Centers. To access the latest on-line
documentation, go to the product library page at
    http://www.ibm.com/software/webservers/appserv/library and
select the version and product that is appropriate for your
    WebSphere Application Server environment.

The following Version 9.0 issues will be addressed:

    ID: 240352 (RTC)
Problem: Topic, Default value and behavior changes from
previous releases of WebSphere Application Server traditional,
contains a web-server plugin custom property that is
misspelled as, KillWebServerUponParseErr, and should be
spelled as, KillWebServerStartUpOnParseErr. This can cause
    confusion to customers.

Resolution: Topic, Default value and behavior changes from
previous releases of WebSphere Application Server traditional,
is updated the incorrect spelling, KillWebServerUponParseErr,
    is changed to KillWebServerStartUpOnParseErr.

    ----------
    ID: 781460
Problem: Topic, plugin-cfg.xml file, has a description of
GetDWLMTable. The default setting for V7.0, V8.0, and V8.5.5
is false, but the V9.0 default setting should be true. The
V9.0 knowledge center topic still has a defaut setting of false
in the description of GetDWLMTable and should be change to true.
Also, some clarification needs to be added to the description
of GetDWLMTable when memory-to-memory session management is
enabled in the WebSphere Application Server.

Resolution: Topic, plugin-cfg.xml file, is updated as follows:
    (1) for V7.0, V8.0, and V8.5.5 the GetDWLMTable description
reads as is in the knowlege center. But we add the following
    note:
AVOID TROUBLE: If memory-to-memory session management
(replication) is enabled in WebSphere Application Server, then
the GetDWLMTable setting in the plug-in config must be changed
to "true". memory-to-memory session management (replication)
uses partition IDs rather than clone IDs. As such, broken
session affinity can occur if GetDWLMTable is set to false
    (which is the default).
    (2) For V9.0, the description default is changed to "true" and
the same AVOID TROUBLE note is added to the GetDWLMTable
    description.
